Monopoly in Silicon Valley – XiTrust at SaaStr Annual 2019

From 5 to 7 February the SaaStr Annual 2019 took place in San José, California. With the slogan “Where the cloud meets”, everyone of the industry’s standing joined together. XiTrust was right in the middle of it.
Just a few steps from the Convention Center in San José, California, a world record can be admired: the largest open-air monopoly board in the world. It is 283 square meters in size, it is in the Guinness Book of Records and the park where it is spread out borders on the Children’s Discovery Museum. Here you can see a complete mammoth skeleton. The contrasts couldn’t be bigger. The SaaStr Annual 2019 at the Convention Center from 5 to 7 February was not about play money and certainly not about prehistoric phenomena. Sustainable business models around the cloud were the focus of the global industry meeting in San Carlos Street.
The accumulation of global players such as Amazon, Microsoft, Cisco and Dropbox was initially a record high. The Convention Center united almost 13,000 visitors, 200 exhibitors and 300 speakers according to the slogan “Where the cloud meets”. XiTrust Secure Technologies was also a guest at the most important IT event this spring. “We have seen here to what extent eSigning solutions are already anchored in the consciousness of globally operating companies,” says XiTrust CEO Georg Lindsberger. “Cloud solutions will continue to gain in importance. It will become a central task to reliably secure personal integrity and authenticity.”
Passion for the customers
Is this a singular trend for the IT industry in 2019? Opinions differed here in Silicon Valley. However, there was agreement that IT solutions had to be tailored even more individually to customers. “Passion for the customer” was one of the buzzwords that were often used in this context. “If someone like Jeff Bezos (CEO Amazon) states that customers are always fundamentally dissatisfied, this actually only means one thing: looking even closer and exploiting the possibilities offered by the technology even more deeply,” says Georg Lindsberger.
For XiTrust, SaaStr Annual 2019 was the perfect hotspot for networking and to meet valuable new contacts. The concrete goal is the expansion of the worldwide XiTrust partner network. “To us, it was about demonstrating the added value of our signing solutions: For example, how MOXIS can be optimally integrated into the value chain of our partners’ clients.” After three intensive days, the CEO of XiTrust returned directly to Europe. Time for a game of Monopoly and a tour of mammoth skeletons? Unfortunately, that didn’t work out anymore…
