Last year, we predicted that by 2022 there would be no one left who had not come into contact with electronic signatures. Is that still true? <\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tKoller: Initially, corona was the catalyst for the technology. Later, geopolitical influences took over. The willingness to invest has been dampened by the rise in energy costs especially, which has also affected companies’ digitalisation agendas. At the same time, topics such as New Work, flexible working time models and new ways of organising processes are still important and will shape the coming years. The electronic signature is an essential tool here – and no longer a buzzword that requires explanation. \r\n\r\nLindsberger: We are currently experiencing no less than a paradigm shift in the digital transformation. Corona has given digitalisation and electronic signatures a quantitative boost. A wave of digitalisation has swept over us. Now, however, we are seeing a qualitative push. A product like MOXIS, with which we have defined digitalisation at a high level of quality right from the start, is benefiting from this. \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Lindsberger: It is no longer a question of whether you want to work with electronic signatures or not. The question is now more about which tool you want to use for electronic signatures. The quality of a high-end product such as MOXIS goes far beyond functionality and usability. It is based on a number of factors relating to the software itself. We can do more than just electronic signatures: MOXIS maps signature processes in a unique way and thus ensures the greatest possible efficiency in all decision-making processes. Our many years of experience and the technical and personal consulting expertise of a well-established, well-rehearsed team all contribute to this. Where is the data centre? Is it a legally compliant European solution? Is my provider close by? But not a start-up. The growing need for security and predictability has been a key driver of this trend. \r\n\r\nKoller: The strain caused by two years of an exceptional coronavirus situation with extensive periods of working from home has revitalised the desire for direct personal contact in many companies. Both internally and externally. In this context, personal availability and presence for customers have become even more important. Ultimately, almost everything can be digitalised. Social contacts play only a limited part. \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The World Economic Forum is forecasting two difficult years that are likely to have a negative impact on efficient production due to complex bottlenecks in the supply chains, accompanied by rising prices. Doesn't this present an opportunity for consistent digitalisation geared towards high quality standards? <\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Koller: Definitely, intelligent digitalisation concepts can streamline individual processes and make up for lost efficiency. Nevertheless, I can only partially share the pessimistic tone of many current forecasts. Although digitalisation has seen a slight dip in the past two years, this has not changed the fundamental willingness to transform structures and processes on a large scale: 5G expansion, remote work, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, quantum computing and other relevant process optimisation topics in which digital signatures are a key component will set the pace in the coming years. The basic trend remains stable. <\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

How are XiTrust customers reacting to the changing conditions? <\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Companies have become cautious and prefer to take a long-term view when it comes to individual investments. Yet consistent digitalisation and automation – not just in signature processes – would be key to long-term planning security. \r\n\r\nLindsberger: These changing conditions have once again emphasised how important fast and flexible decision-making processes have become. MOXIS itself is a good seismograph for this, as it is essentially a decision-making tool: Every single signature represents such a decision. MOXIS supports fast decision-making processes because it documents every process in the correct legal context. \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Koller: We have extended our portfolio with the Business Cloud, the perfect offering for companies with a more defensive investment strategy. It allows you to start in one department and collect initial data on the effects of MOXIS. After that, we can push ahead with the roll-out to other departments. Instead of 500 users for large companies, you can start with just 5 users. As a starter package with manageable costs, this cloud solution is an ideal basis for testing the requirements of individual signature processes in practice. <\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Lindsberger: I think there has been a degree of uncertainty. Being able to better assess upcoming situations has therefore become more important. The word “trust” features in our company name for a reason. We at XiTrust want to do our part to make things more predictable, for example by ensuring that there are no hidden costs, but rather transparency and sufficient advice on which signature solution makes sense and where companies can save money. <\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

What exactly is MOXIS Now about? <\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tLindsberger: MOXIS Now is a global, ready-to-use product that is distributed fully automatically via our web shop. The customer can get started immediately. Developers can integrate the product into their own system landscape via the API. Subsequent upgrades for qualified electronic signatures are also included. Alternatively, we have also integrated biometric signature verification into the basic version MOXIS Now. \r\n\r\nKoller: In MOXIS, the highest legally valid electronic signature comes as standard. However, not everything has to be signed according to the highest legal standards – and certainly not everywhere: especially on a global scale, there are sometimes major country-specific differences with regard to the requirements for electronic signatures. MOXIS Now therefore utilises simple electronic signatures. \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Koller: Alongside MOXIS Now, it will be even easier to sign electronically with the other MOXIS versions. Our service for digital identities, xIDENTITY, will be expanded to include auto-ident and robo-ident procedures. The ID wallet concept is also currently being launched at EU level: every citizen will then have a digital identity by default, which of course means that we will no longer have to fulfil the requirements for qualified signing in MOXIS ourselves. The ID wallet will strengthen values that have been part of XiTrust from the very beginning: data integrity and authenticity as well as the entire aspect of IT security.
